What it's like
The pools sit on the rock platform below the headland, with the main pool good for a proper swim and the smaller one shallow enough for little kids. Waves wash into both at high tide, keeping the water fresh. The beach in front is broad and open, and the escarpment looms behind the town.
When to go
Calm mornings are the pick. Cleaning dates are estimates that move with the sea and weather, so check on the day.
Getting there and facilities
The pool is reached from Farrell Road, Bulli. Bulli Tourist Park is a short walk away, and the cafes beside the beach handle coffee and breakfast.
Good to know
There are no lifeguards at the pool itself. The rocks are slippery.
