Bayview Baths on Pittwater is a netted tidal swimming area that turned 100 in 2016, and for now it's more a piece of local history than a recommended swim. The structure is in poor repair and the water rated Poor in 2023-24, so check before getting in.

What it's like
For many years these were the only shark-netted baths on the Mona Vale to Church Point stretch of Pittwater, and locals celebrated their centenary in 2016. The structure has deteriorated since, and residents have long pushed for a restoration. Northern Beaches Council has run water testing as a step towards a possible refurbishment.
When to go
Only after a dry spell, and only after checking the latest Beachwatch result. A nearby sewer overflow can discharge after storms.
Getting there and facilities
The baths are off Pittwater Road, Bayview. Facilities are limited.
Good to know
