What it's like
The enclosure sits on the shoreline of Port Hacking, with bush running right down to the water. The water is still and the net keeps things contained, which makes it an easy place for children and less confident swimmers. Most days the only company is a few locals from the point.
When to go
Summer days at mid to high tide give the most water and the best swimming. Weekdays are very quiet. After heavy rain, check the latest Beachwatch result before getting in.
Getting there and facilities
The baths are reached from Koala Road, Lilli Pilli, with designated parking at the reserve. There's a bubbler, an outdoor shower, an amenities block and a changing shed.
Good to know
There's no lifeguard on duty. Water quality drops after rain.
